Available ipbx Modules

These modules are available with ipbx eXpress software
(Enterprise Edition 100+ users) and regular ipbx systems.

  • Additional Line / Softphone Module
The Additional Line/Softphone module allows you to easily manage a secondary line, hard- or softphone from within the End-User panel. Users can setup their own softphone clients from a controlled environment. You choose the default template for the softphone/or hardphone type. Both SIP and IAX clients are supported.
  • Advanced Personal Conferencing
The Advanced Personal Conferencing Module allows you to create lists of callers which regularly participate in your conferences. A single click invites all participants and invites them to join the conference.
  • i9 iSymphony Integration Module
iSymphony, an easy-to-use, Java-based client/server software for managing phone calls via Taridium's ipbx. The client software is available for Microsoft Windows and OS X. The iSymphony module automatically creates and deletes extensions in iSymphony.
  • LDAP Directory Services Support Module
The LDAP Directory Services module integrates an LDAP compliant directory such as Microsoft Exchange or OpenLDAP into ipbx for directory lookups.
  • Multi-Site Support Module
Manage multiple sites from a single master server and simplify communications across all ipbx servers. ipbx's multi site support let's you add cost saving interconnects (trunks) with very little effort. Multi Site support allows you to configure a dialplan master server and up to 200 slaves that synchronize dialplan information. This system is independent from other services and provides failover capabilities between operating sites even if the master system is down.
  • Delayed Paging Module
The delayed paging module allows you to page an extension or group of extensions, by pre-recording a message first and having it played back upon hangup. This is particularly useful in noisy environments such as shop floors and PA systems where audio feedback is an issue. Regular paging (auto-answer) of individual extensions is available via star codes.
  • On-Call Notification Module
The On Call Notifications module is an automated voicemail/call notification service. On Call will ring a sequence of phone numbers and attempt to deliver a message until it has been acknowledged. Optionally e-mail and SMS notifications can be used as well. Multiple On Call users can be specified.
  • Remote Extensions
Remote Extensions are extensions that are not local, meaning not connected directly to the PBX. This module is intended for use with legacy PBX interconnections via T1/E1 card or SIP trunks. It allows you to specify users to use a trunk as 'device' thus exposing ipbx features to a traditional telephone system. This can be used for simple Voicemail integration or during the migration from a legacy system.
  • Presence Hours Module
Presence hour warning allows users to set 'working hours'. This means that any calls outside set hours are answered with a warning, local time and the option to complete the call by pressing 1. Optionally callers can also choose to leave a message. This can be particularly useful in conjunction with call forwarding and international calling.
  • End User URL Control Module (Click to call)
The URL control module allows you to control certain user settings via a simple URL. It also allows you to initiate a call (call origination) to your extension and bridge the call to any destination reachable within your default user settings (or custom extensions).
  • Message Broadcast Module
The Message Broadcast Module allows you to broadcast a recording to a pre-defined list of phone numbers. Administrators can upload lists of phone numbers, which will be called in sequence or parallel fashion. The ipbx system will automatically detect answering machines and retry the call if there is no answer.
  • CTI Module
ipbx's CTI module provides a standardized way to interact with incoming calls using external applications. Applications include web driven pop-up windows and call manipulation. CTI integration is available in two places:
    1. as CTI control, where calls coming into certain applications will cause interaction with external web enabled applications.
    2. as a means to pop-up an application page in the ipbx End User Panel.

The CTI control option is available in the IVR, Groups and Queues applications. The CTI control options can be accessed in each of the application editors. In it's simplest form the CTI control allows you to signal that a call was routed to an application, usually passing along some identifying information such as the caller ID.

When a CTI URL is called by ipbx it is parsed for a valid XML reply. This XML reply may contain instruction on how to handle the call BEFORE it is handled by the application. The XML code could for example instruct ipbx to route a call to a different application, based on the caller ID or other information, or it can update the caller ID fields or account code.
